Precision, safety and hunting appearance – These are the motives under which the already widely known and equally appreciated “de zum Jager’n” has been consistently developed. The hunter as well as the precision shooter benefit directly from the sophisticated design, the high quality raw materials as well as the modern manufacturing and quality control.

Ergonomics were clearly the top priority in the design of the new firearm hand tensioning. The cocking movement is performed downward, precisely in the direction where the thumb is naturally strongest. This allows for effortless cocking while in shooting position, even for women. Our “Super-Safe” manual handcocking system is the only one on the market that can be switched between automatic or manual mode. This increases safety enormously after “after-repetition” during hunting.
The proven 9-lug locking system, already known from the previous model, provides more than enough reserves even for the highest gas pressure calibers. The advancement of the manufacturing process and adherence to the tightest tolerances ensure a play-free yet smooth bolt operation.
Wood is a natural material that can naturally warp due to fluctuations in temperature and humidity. These tensions can lead to poor lock action, reduction in precision and change in point of impact. By using the modern and highly rigid material carbon, this problem is eliminated in the “de zum Jager’n”. A carbon bedding block formed and hardened in a hydraulic 100-ton press is glued into the shaft and ensures stress-free bedding of all components. This means that the natural material wood can be used in its most beautiful form without having to accept compromises in precision.
By means of three hexagon socket nuts made of tempered steel, which remain in the stock and are therefore captive, the system with barrel and scope can be easily removed from the stock and stowed in a case or rucksack. The trigger remains in the stock, ensuring optimal protection.
In addition to the classic 11mm prism mounting bases, Picatinny mounting bases and a continuous Picatinny rail are also available for the “de zum Jager’n”. Should there still be any wishes left open, the action has the same drilling pattern as the Sauer 202 and is therefore compatible with most common mounting systems.
The system is manufactured from pre-hardened stainless steel, making subsequent heat treatment unnecessary and thus ensuring the straightness of the lock fit. The locking mechanism has the same diameter as the lock, which means that the system is not weakened by longitudinal grooves as with other locking concepts and therefore retains its stability. The magazine opening is also kept as narrow as possible.
The stock of the “de zum Jager’n” fits perfectly in the hand and combines a classic shape with elegant lines. You can choose between a classic stock, a hunting match stock and a carbon stock. The stock length can be freely selected for the “Custom” model and is adapted to the shooter. The wood can also be selected on site.
